It seems out of fashion these days to love your spouse. At the very least to say publicly anything but the most negative things. I hear about infidelity, forgotten birthdays, insults, hurt feelings, misunderstandings, laziness, lack of support and soooo much more. I suppose it's a secondhand hazard of belonging to women's groups. Even "Lifetime TV, Television for women" man bashes. Every show/movie is full of abusive men and victimized women.
So, I'm going to be a rebel and speak loudly, clearly and often about my favorite human. My husband rocks and I don't care who knows it.
Lets start with the most important shall we? He's freakin hot. I mean smokin hot. Just look at him up there! Oh, and check this out ----->Yeah, stone cold hotness. He's like a fine wine. Has improved and mellowed with age. OK, now that the hotness is out of the way, we can talk about everything else.
He has a very long fuse. Don't get me wrong, when the end of that fuse is reached he BLOWS and the flying spit and bulging neck vein are family legend, but it takes a tremendous amount of effort to get him there. Unfortunately for him, the females in his life are experts in that field.
He likes to hide it, but he has a very soft heart and he loves fiercely. He is protective. He is responsible in the extreme. He is an amazing father and husband. When he decided he wants to give you a gift, watch out cuz it's going to be epic. His work ethic is beyond approach. He is the coolest nerd I've ever met. He gives epic spoon and is a master at hand holding. His hugs can be painful but only because he puts all the love he feels for you into them. That is a lot of power. He NEVER forgets to put his dirty whites in the hamper and they are ALWAYS turned the right way out. He NEVER forgets to put down the toilet seat and he still opens the door for me. He can break out into song and dance at any moment of any day and he's quite good at it, though he better not quit his day job. There's a few things that he is EXTRAORDINARY at but I'll just leave those to your imagination.
But above all that, there is one thing that makes me fall in love with him deeper and harder with each passing day. It's that above everything else he's good at, he has mastered the art of loving ME.

Today I'm Grateful for: (the Husband Edition)
my husband's momma and pappa. After all, without them, there'd be no him
him. He is, by far, my favorite human. One day it will be just us. Some couples frear an empty next, I don't. The very thought of sitting in a beach chair all grey haired and wrinkled holding hands and necking, making the young people giggle and our kids squirm, just fills me with such joy. I can't wait to grow old.
birthdays. Cuz he'll always be one ahead of me.
working out. Cuz my man thinks I'm hot too.
built in cup holders. Or should I say dog food bowls. Either way, watching my man fret over a hungry puppy and hand feeding him from the cup holders built into our couch just turned my heart to mush. See...told you he was soft

Sally the red mustang. Why do I love her so much? Well, there is a long story, but the short story is the look that was on my mans face when he pulled into my driveway on a "test drive" and asked "So, you want her?" THAT is why I feel beautiful and loved every time I look at my car.
my accompanied life. Without him I would survive but my life would be diminished. He is the Yin to my Yang, the Ooompa to my Loompa, he is the adventure in my mundane, he is my husband, my partner, my love. My life would suck without you babe.
Awesome, Beth. You got me all teary-eyed. Our husbands sound like similar people. And GOOD JOB being a rebel and loving your husband! Being on CM has taught me to be more vocal about love instead of lashing out.
