117 - That's so not me

“The most authentic thing about us is our capacity to create, to overcome, to endure, to transform, to love and to be greater than our suffering.”
~Ben Okri~

Going back and reading my last few months of lists, I must say I see something odd. I'm reading a LOT about God. The Beth I know NEVER speaks about religion because she a) is a Taoist b) HATES talking about religion (mainly cuz she's clueless) and c) could care less. Yet, more and more I'm blogging about God, my relationship with God, and my spiritual growth. That is so not me.

More and more I read in my blog about working out. Trust me, the Beth I know NEVER works out. Her core philosophy, even more so than the uncarved block, is "when I get in the mood to exercise, I lay down till it passes" Yet, just this morning I worked out for 35 minutes and did 5 level 5 sprints. I also did a FULL workout TWICE yesterday. That is so not me.

Yet, it is me. My values have changed, my heart has changed, my life has changed. Continually changing? Well now THAT'S me.

For my friends and my family who are sick and tired of hearing me gab on about God and health and positivity and gratitude, I say "I love you but you may want to move on to another blog. Mine is not for you" My blog is not about followers (I've already got 17 more than I thought I would) or about hits or about comments (though I'm like a little kid with a cookie when I see I have one). This blog is by me, about me and for me. This is my place to go to pay it forward and release positive energy into the universe, to purge myself of the negativity, to vent, to play, to dance barefoot in the sand and to release what must be released. It is my cheap therapy. You are welcomed to say and play but please don't eat the daisies.

Yup, that's me

Today I'm grateful for:

self awareness. I'm still working it out but it's getting stronger every day.

change. It's on my list quite often but it's what keeps my life a constant adventure. Since I've learned to go with the flow instead of against the tide my life has improved exponentially.

a great workout. Once again I kicked my own boohiney. Who needs Jillian?

oranges. I'm now addicted to fresh sliced oranges. I can think of worse things to be addicted to.

indoor outdoor workouts. One of the best purchases of the last 12 months has been the treadmill. My workout is no longer something to get over with but something to enjoy. Dude, I'm kickin A$$ and taking names.

cousins and reconnections. The joy of my life has increased.

pretty flowers greeting me and bidding me good morning.

the man not noticing the pile on Wilson. He would NOT have been amused.

God. He's the architect of my life. Each change has been brought about because he has whispered in my ear. Even when I wasn't ready to hear it.

fresh, clean and abundant drinking water. I'm down to 4 cups of coffee a day. I didn't think it was possible.

Kelly hugs. I saw her face to face yesterday. She looks good and still loves her Momma. That's epic right there.

vacations that are paid in full. Siesta Key here we come! Heaven on earth can be found in Siesta Key. This is the first year the Pixie gets to go and I CAN'T WAIT for her to discover the joy.

my pretty little red mustang. She's forgiven me for mucking up her bumper. Her red heart made rainbows dance across my lap this morning. Can you think of a better way to start the day than dancing rainbows? I sure can't.
